Maya is a student trying to put herself through college and she helps out by locating owners of vintage clothing for sale. The other employees in the store are Bronwyn, who mixes herbs and potions for people,unaware in the beginning, that Lily is a hip witch. She has moved around most of her life, but decides it is time to settle down and makes the Bay area of San Francisco her home, on Haight/Ashbury with her vintage clothing store, Aunt Cora's Closet. The protagonist is Lily Ivory, who comes from a family with "powers", but she has never been comfortable letting anyone know and usually practices solo instead of with a coven.
